What Internet language does the NBX system use?

E-mail Print PDF

The 3Com NBX system was originally developed at MIT, using a subset of the H.323 VoIP protocol language. This language is used widely in frame relay installations, by Local Exchange Carriers. It is currently the most commonly used protocol, due to its long duration in the marketplace. Starting in the middle of 2006, 3Com introduced their download revision 6.0. This revision allows the choice of languages. It comes with the H.323 as its standard, but also allows the alternate use of the new language, SIP. This stands for "session initiation protocol", and this will propagate over time ,to be the dominant language in use.
