Licenses are specifically registered to the Serial number on the back plane of the 3Com NBX chassis, and cannot be transferred to the Serial number of another 3Com NBX chassis. If you try, you will get a response that the key code does not match the Serial number, and they wonÂ’t restore. The only way to transfer a license to a different 3Com NBX chassis is to send the 3Com NBX chassis to 3Com as a defective or faulty unit, and they replace the unit.
