Several differences exist in the 3100 model series from the two earlier series lines. First is the shape of the unit, it is a new rounder case, smaller than the other series cases. The 3100 series has a slightly larger display than the 1100 series, but similar in size to the 2100 series. The most significant difference that the user will notice is the 4 way navigational bar near the display. The earlier models are two way navigation. The balance of the feature sets are similar. The other major issue is licensing.
